Nichole Parnell grew up on the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia. Her creativity was fostered from a young age by her father, a local landscape and conceptual artist. Nichole followed her passion for creativity in the form of fashion and was particularly drawn to bridal and evening wear and the freedom for extravagance and detail it offered.
Beginning her fashion journey in 2005 when deciding to create a look for her school formal with absolutely no prior experience, Nichole graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design and Technology in 2009, being awarded the inaugural Lecturers Choice Award for her debut collection ‘Cosmos’; a colourful hand dyed silk shibori collection highlighting the unique colours and styles of brides around the world.
Since graduating Nichole has continued to design custom bridesmaid, mother of the bride, formal and bridal dresses including her own wedding gown and bridal party in 2012. She took on a position in retail management until the birth of her first child in 2013. Taking a break from retail to enjoy the wonders of parenthood she continued creating custom one off pieces whenever bubs was sleeping. 2016 saw the arrival of baby number 2 and a need for a studio space to continue her work which allowed Nichole Parnell the label to be born with her first bridal collection ‘Ivory Love’ launched in 2017.
